When I first met Kieran & Lindsey we did an abbreviated engagement session at their wedding venue Lounsbury House in Ridgefield, Connecticut. They brought their dog and had a personalized bandana around it's neck. I should have never doubted that couple bc of just that one detail! I was concerned though because Kieran did not feel comfortable posing in front of the camera particularly with some of my more romantic poses. He did them, but it didn't feel natural. He's a great guy, but let's face it, the romantic poses can be forced! And here's me, a stranger asking him to show me some of that emotional stuff.
However, on their wedding day, I pleasantly surprised. First of all, their wedding was in June in Connecticut. It was a beautiful, mild sunny day and the gardens in Lounsbury House were in full bloom after all the rain we had the month prior in May. There was a slight breeze, and I was hoping for some long blowing veil shots! Lounsbury house is in downtown Ridgefield right on Main Street as you are approaching all the stores and shops. It's a wonderful mansion that they have converted to a beautiful wedding ceremony and reception venue. In any event, Kieran and Lindsey were pleasures to work with. Kieran stepped it up and knew he had to give us some of our poses. ;) It was so worthwhile that we had an engagement session so they knew what to expect on their wedding day. They gladly posed for me and my second photographer. Those two were so happy in love that morning they would have done whatever we asked ! I was concerned for no reason. They were such an enthusiastic, fun and love-filled couple. They had great personalities that meshed so well together. I wish them years of happiness together.
